As I reflect on the past six months, I'm reminded of the time's fleeting nature and the profound lessons learned along the journey. One of my significant wins has been the opportunity to pour into a team, witnessing their growth alongside my own. This experience has taught me that true leadership isn’t merely about teaching; it’s about helping others flourish. The humility that comes from supporting others opens our eyes to just how much we can learn in the process.
At the start of the year, I faced considerable challenges. Announcing my book brought mixed reactions. This taught me a hard truth: not everyone will cheer for your dreams, as they may not share the same vision. Dealing with public scrutiny was particularly tough, but it highlighted the importance of staying true to oneself despite external pressures.
The reality is that I've struggled to juggle various facets of my life, leading to failures in areas I hold dear. I often find myself being my harshest critic, yet amidst these challenges, I’m learning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have many beautiful opportunities on the horizon, and for that, I feel incredibly blessed.
A vital lesson during this period is realizing how capable we are of achieving more than we often believe. I heavily leaned into my faith while navigating wins and losses, finding strength in the belief that I am not defined by my struggles. Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) resonates deeply: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” This scripture serves as a reminder to trust the process, even when it feels challenging.
Surrounding myself with uplifting people has kept me grounded during this whirlwind. Their support has helped me bear the weight of both business pressures and personal tribulations, cultivating resilience in us all. As leaders, it's essential to take time for self-reflection, especially after periods demanding significant energy.
My journey has indeed been intensive, compounded by health challenges and the pressures of family and leadership. Yet, watching those around me rise and share responsibilities has been inspiring. I want to share this encouragement with you all: despite setbacks and the noise of public opinion, know that it's okay to feel what you feel—just don’t dwell there. Lean into your faith when control feels lost.
In closing, my excitement for the next six months is palpable. With my career, book, and new adventures on the horizon, I remain eternally grateful for this journey. Each challenge has been an opportunity for growth, and as we move forward, I urge you to embrace your path with confidence, faith, and the support of those around you.
Be Kind. Be Humble. Be Courageous. Love BIG. Pray Hard.
